What to do with this blog...plus a little update on the status of this little business

For those of you who know me, I have many varied interests, hence I have been having some conflict in my head about what exactly this blog should be, and I have come to the conclusion that it should be exactly that...all of my interests.  We will dabble in a bit of cooking, a bit of style, a lot of flowers, and anything else.

This past week I dealt with a pretty bad blow; I did flowers for a gorgeous event, some that I was really proud of, and forgot to take any pictures whatsoever...like not even one.  I can't tell you how devastated I was.  For me, every event is an opportunity to create something totally unique, so the chance of recreating what I did for it are slim.  You'll just have to take my word for it.  I used lots of bright poppies, sweet peas, lilacs, even figs on the stem.  This is the one picture I randomly managed to take...probably some Instagram hold out that never made it up (but now has!):

As a little aside, I have been working with a fabulous calligrapher and artist in Chicago, Alissa Mazzenga of Feast Fine Art & Calligraphy, to bring a new logo to life for this business I started.  I'm very excited to show it to you all, and once it's ready to go we will be hitting the ground running with some marketing!  Spread the word...

This blog is going to get a bit more regular, and when I can figure out how to read the instructions on how to set up subscriptions, I hope you will all follow me for weekly inspiration and updates.
